I am a problem solver who can apply my experience in running companies including start-ups, and in establishing quality systems, achieving ISO9001 / AS9100 and customer quality approvals, to help solve your business problems. I am an engineer by training, and bring the level of logical problem solving and technical understanding required by this discipline to any tasks presented.
Based in the UK, and bringing more than 30 years of experience in sales and engineering covering a wide variety of disciplines from military aerospace, naval and ground based systems to security and commercial aviation projects, I started my career working extensively with video systems designed for extreme harsh environments, missile guidance, fire control systems, including image intensification and thermal imaging.
More recently I have worked as an Aerospace Consultant with commercial airlines on safety and security improvements using aviation video systems, and have been part of successful marketing teams working with OEMs and airlines worldwide. During this time, I also worked on various Eurocae committees, specifically WG-50 which wrote the specification for the next generation Air Accident Recorder, and was Chairman of WG-66, the Eurocae Working Group defining and developing the internationally recognized specification for security video systems to monitor the flight deck door of commercial aircraft. As part of this work, I spoke at many international conferences and symposia, and worked with UK DoT, CAA, EASA and FAA to achieve the necessary regulatory support.
I have been an EASA approved Accountable Manager, and am now a Form1 signatory within the DQMS system of one of my client companies. I worked from 2013 to 2017 as a committee member of the UK Air Safety Group, lending my experience to this significant voluntary group promoting safe flights, military as well as commercial.
